Myint Moe (1955)
Myint Moe was born in Nyaung Don, Ayarwaddy division of Myanmar
in 1955. He studied art in the State school of Fine Arts, Yangon
from 1972 to 1974. After finishing his formal education, Win
Myint Moe continued to perfect his artistic skills under U Win
Htein, U Thu Kha, U Mya
Aye, U Thein Han and U Lun Gywe.
artist worked for the Ministry of Culture from
1977 to 1985 as a stage artist for the dance and drama section.
He later moved to Myanmar Television and Radio Department as
a TV studio artist from 1985 until he retired in 1995. Since
Win Myint Moe is working as an independent artist. His favorite
medium is oil and water color. Win Myint Moe often uses strings
in his paintings a technique he developed himself.

a strong presence in many art exhibitions and
In 1975, he won the U Ngwe Gaing Gold Medal award. In 1996,
the artist won prized sponsored by the Traditional Artists and
Association in Yangon.
