Maung ThiHa (1948)

Maung ThiHa was born in 1948 and he is the most faithful discipline of the late famous artist Paw Oo Thett. His favorite medium is watercolor, but occasionally he paints with oil and acrylic on canvas. Maung ThiHa is also a very capable stone and wood sculptor. His watercolors are, however, his specialty as they are always very colorful and mostly about traditional scene of landscapes, pagoda, palm trees and the daily activities of the Burmese people. His paintings are very popular with the foreign community in Yangon and visitors to Burma. He now operates his own gallery in Pagan.
